Our client is a leading European investment bank with a strong presence in Asia, offering corporations and institutions with a diversified range of award-winning financial solutions. In order to cope with their business expansion plans in China, they are now recruiting for a high caliber candidate to join their Credit Risk Management (CRM) team based in Shanghai.
Reporting to the Country Team Head of CRM in China, you will be responsible for analyzing counterparties, identify, quantify and mitigate risk drivers in commercial and investment banking transactions. Management of a portfolio of counterparties in North Asia, covering corporate, financial institutions and non-bank FIs. Analysis of credit risk on individual derivative and trade finance transactions across all product classes (including fixed income, equities, commodities and foreign exchange) for transaction approval and risk portfolio assessment. Assess global, regional and local market events/trends and their impact on the portfolio of counterparties managed. Liaise with clients, interface directly with front office staff across all business divisions (e.g. global markets, relationship managers, corporate finance, trade finance, cash management) and other CRM units on credit approvals, credit requirements and relationship matters. Daily control and exposure management of credit facilities, including follow up on trade execution, booking, reporting and monitoring. Conduct independent due diligence on bank clients, including financial analysis, leading due diligence meetings, and prepare rating and credit reports. Work with internal operations teams to ensure accuracy of information global risk reporting systems. Appropriate product and soft skill training will be provided.
The ideal candidate should be University graduate in Business, Finance or related disciplines. Minimum 4 - 6 years experience in credit analysis, including corporate sector coverage. Good understanding of financial capital markets (e.g. swaps, FX, equities, and collateralized transactions/structures) and trade finance. Familiarity with legal documentation and risk issues, including ISDA, NAFMII, CSA, and credit mitigating measures. Familiar with Chinese/international financial markets and financing structures.
China counterparty experience preferred with international banking environment. Extensive working knowledge of computer applications, particularly Excel, Powerpoint and Word. Self-motivated, team-oriented, flexible and diligent. Strong communicator (both written and verbal skills) Fluency in English. Business level command of Mandarin is a MUST. |
