Our client is an international asset management firm with an unparalleled reputation across the Asia Pacific region. With the continued growth of the organization, the need has arisen to recruit a high caliber candidate to join them

To administer and handle the operational processes to support the investment operations activities, including trade management, maintenance of investment books and records, security master maintenance etc. To coordinate, check and validate funding transfers, security settlements, subscriptions/redemptions, and reconciliations.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Handle the processes for security transactions, ensuring activities are accurate and compliant with local requirements, service providers’ cutoffs etc. Perform oversight on the investment operations activities including issue and query management and maintenance of investment book of record to support internal stakeholders, such as investment, trading, client servicing etc. through the partnership of the outsourced service providers.
  • Maintain the security master to support the trading activities and to ensure security reference is accurately captured in the investment book of record and the order management system. Review the processes and controls related to security setup and maintenance to identify and address potential risk areas.
  • Assist in the transition activity on funds / client accounts including account onboarding, custodian change, account termination etc. from investment operations perspective. Coordinate with external parties including but not limited to service provider partners, custodians, brokers, tax consultants etc. to perform the account transition activities.
  • Prepare standard and some nonstandard documentation and procedures for trade management, reconciliations, corporate action, security master maintenance, etc.

To be considered, you should be degree holder with a minimum of 5 years of relevant experience ideally in asset management industry. Knowledge of various instruments, including the understanding of derivatives products and processes. Sound communication skills, judgment, and the ability to interact with stakeholders within the organization and with external service providers.
